Affiliate Disclosure
The short version
Some links on websites like this one are "affiliate links": if you click one and buy something, the site may earn a small commission from the retailer — at no extra cost to you. This page explains how that works here, honestly and in full.
Current status
At the time of writing, TinyDeskGuide does not carry active affiliate links or advertising. The site is in its first phase, focused on publishing useful guides. If affiliate links or ads are introduced later, this page will be updated, and pages containing affiliate links will say so clearly.
How affiliate links would work here
- If a guide contains an affiliate link in the future, it will be a link to a retailer or manufacturer, and using it may earn us a commission if you make a purchase.
- The price you pay is the same whether or not you use an affiliate link.
- Any future affiliate relationships (for example, with retailer programs such as Amazon Associates or individual brands) will be named on this page.
Our promise
- Recommendations come first. A product's commission rate never decides whether it is mentioned or how it is described.
- No fake reviews. We do not claim hands-on experience we do not have. Guides based on specifications, measurements and research are written as exactly that.
- No invented prices or ratings. If we cannot verify a figure, we do not publish it as fact.
- Clear labelling. Pages with affiliate links will carry a short notice near the top.
Why we are telling you this
Because trust is the whole business model of a guide site. You should always know when a link might earn the site money, so you can weigh our words accordingly. This disclosure is provided in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).
